This is Jetter Mars. He is a boy robot thing too. Nobody likes him. In fact, I am pretty sure even Osamu Tezuka didn’t like him. He’ll be spending the rest of his life envying Astro Boy’s popularity and thinking what would happen had he born without that tacky cape. lets all feel sorry for him. Remember that there is another little robot who would give anything to protect the world.

Jetter Mars’ conception was actually due to a copyright mishap where Tezuka was trying to produce a color Astroboy show but poor planning and lack of funding on the part of his dying animation studio meant the copyrights of some of his characters were in limbo! I can understand feeling bad for him though. Tezuka dropped Jetter Mars right away once he could produce a color Astro Boy series.
